When and where the match is played

Manchester City welcome Ipswich Town to Etihad Stadium on Saturday 17 October 2026, with kick-off at 15:00 local time.

Etihad Stadium in Manchester is one of English football's biggest and most modern arenas, and games against sides pushing to establish themselves in the Premier League, like Ipswich Town, are treated by the home crowd as an opportunity to see City assert themselves.

Why this fixture matters

Manchester City will be expected to control this game at home, with Ipswich Town looking to take advantage of any openings against one of the league's strongest sides. For Ipswich Town supporters, a trip to the Etihad is one of the standout away days of the Premier League calendar.

Manchester City's schedule either side of this fixture is a busy one, including Champions League League Phase matches against PSG and AEK Athens, as well as a Premier League trip to face Aston Villa later in October.

Choosing where to sit at Etihad Stadium

Fans comparing Manchester City vs Ipswich Town tickets should think about the scale of the stadium. Seats in the lower tier close to the pitch give the most immersive view of the action, while upper-tier seats offer a wider, more panoramic perspective across the ground.

Supporters travelling to follow Ipswich Town should check which section is designated for away fans before booking, since visiting supporters are typically allocated a specific block.
