When and where Atlético Madrid play Manchester United

Atlético Madrid welcome Manchester United to the Riyadh Air Metropolitano on Tuesday 13 October 2026, with kick-off at 21:00 local time. This Champions League league phase fixture brings Manchester United to Spain to face Atlético Madrid at a stadium with a capacity of 70,692.

A European night against English opposition of this stature is a significant fixture for Atlético Madrid supporters, and the scale of the Riyadh Air Metropolitano makes for an imposing atmosphere for visiting sides.

What to expect from the match

As a Champions League fixture between two clubs with strong European pedigree, this match matters for both sides' progress through the competition's league phase. Atlético Madrid will look to make home advantage at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano count, while Manchester United will aim to pick up a result away from home in Spain.

Both clubs have domestic fixtures either side of this game, in La Liga for Atlético Madrid and the Premier League for Manchester United, so squad rotation is worth watching given the demands of a midweek European trip.

Matchday at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano

The Riyadh Air Metropolitano is located on the outskirts of Madrid and is served by the city's metro network, making it accessible for supporters travelling from the city centre or further afield for a Champions League fixture. Its modern bowl design offers clear sightlines from the majority of seats.

Manchester United fans travelling to the match should confirm their designated away section on their ticket, as segregation between home and away supporters applies to Champions League fixtures. Allowing extra time for travel to a stadium outside the city centre is sensible ahead of the 21:00 local kick-off.
