About Los Angeles
Los Angeles hosts eight matches at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood — a brand-new, fully-enclosed indoor venue opened in 2020. The stadium is the centrepiece of the Hollywood Park development and will also host the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2028 LA Olympics.
LA is famously spread out, so where you stay dramatically changes your matchday experience. Inglewood is closest to the stadium; West LA, Hollywood and Downtown are all 45–75 min away depending on traffic.

🏘️ Where to stay
- • Inglewood — walking distance to SoFi, but limited nightlife.
- • Downtown LA (DTLA) — Metro K line to Inglewood, vibrant food scene, best pre-/post-match bar options.
- • Santa Monica & Venice — beach setting, 45–60 min drive on matchday.
- • Hollywood / West Hollywood — touristy but easy Uber to stadium.
🚆 Getting around
- • Metro K (Crenshaw/LAX) line now connects SoFi to Downtown and LAX — avoid driving on matchday where possible.
- • Driving: SoFi parking is pre-book only; I-405 and I-110 congest heavily 2–3 hours before kickoff.
- • From LAX: 15 min by car (outside traffic), 30–45 min on the Metro K line.
- • Ride-share zones at SoFi are clearly marked — don't try to Uber from the stadium doors.
🍽️ What to eat
- • SoFi concourse has upscale food stalls from LA chefs — prices are ~20% above street equivalents.
- • Manhattan Beach and El Segundo (both 10 min from stadium) — great matchday dining before or after.
- • Grand Central Market downtown — all-day food hall, easy to hit before a Metro K run to the match.

- • LA summer temperatures can top 30°C — SoFi is climate-controlled so bring a light layer for inside.
- • Don't leave valuables visible in parked cars — target parking lot theft is a persistent issue.
- • Uber/Lyft pickups at SoFi are at designated zones only; ignore offers of rides near the exits.
